Privacy Policy | HelperCrate

HelperCrate runs in your browser: files are never uploaded. How cookies, local storage, Google AdSense and consent work.

Last updated: 2026-10-17. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what HelperCrate does with your data.

Your files stay on your device

Every tool runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and standard web APIs. Files you open are read locally, processed locally and saved locally. They are never uploaded, stored or transmitted to us or to any third party. Closing the tab discards everything.

What we store in your browser

HelperCrate uses your browser's local storage — not cookies — for a small set of preferences:

This information never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.

No accounts and no analytics

There is no signup and no user account. HelperCrate does not run analytics scripts that track you across the web. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request data such as IP address and user agent to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, as any web host does.

Advertising and Google AdSense

HelperCrate is free to use and funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, cap and measure ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked before any advertising cookies are set: the AdSense script loads only after you accept advertising in the consent banner (or through a Google-certified consent tool), and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. If you reject, the AdSense script is never loaded and no advertising cookies are set — every tool keeps working normally. Outside those regions the script may load as soon as a page opens.

Advertising never receives your files. Ads work the same as on any other website and cannot read the documents, images or videos you process.

Cookie policy

HelperCrate itself does not set tracking cookies. Strictly speaking, the site stores your consent choice and preferences in local storage rather than cookies.

Cookies set by third parties

You can control or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can change your consent choice using the "Cookie settings" link shown after a choice has been made.

Third-party services used by the tools

Some tools download processing libraries or engines on demand from public content networks (for example jsDelivr, esm.sh or ffmpeg.wasm hosting). Your files are still processed locally in your browser and are never sent to those networks.

Children

HelperCrate is a general-purpose utility site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top will change with it. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
