Favicon Pack
Create a production-ready favicon package from an image, text or emoji.
Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.
What Favicon Pack does
Favicon Pack turns a logo, letter or emoji into the complete set of icons a modern website needs: browser favicons in several sizes, an Apple touch icon, Android/PWA icons including maskable versions, a favicon.ico and a web manifest with a ready-to-paste HTML snippet.
You can start from an image or generate a clean icon from text or an emoji, with controls for colours, shape, zoom, padding and position. Live previews show how the icon will look in a browser tab, on a phone home screen and in light and dark bookmark bars before you commit.
The whole pack is bundled into one ZIP with sensible filenames, so dropping the files into a site root and pasting the snippet is usually all that is needed.
How to use Favicon Pack
- Choose the Image tab to upload a logo, or Text / emoji to type a letter or emoji.
- For text mode set the character, colour, font size, shape (Rounded, Square or Circle), background and zoom. In image mode, adjust zoom, padding and offset to frame the artwork.
- Enter your site's app name and short name — these are written into the generated web manifest. Toggle the maskable guide if you want to check the safe zone.
- Review the previews: Live icon, Browser tab, Phone home screen, Bookmarks (light and dark) and the Maskable safe zone.
- If the source image is not square or too small, use Auto-fix to create a 1024px square working copy before generating.
- Click Generate favicon pack, then download the ZIP and optionally copy the HTML snippet for your site head.
Features
- Builds 16px, 32px and 48px favicons, a 180px Apple touch icon, 192px and 512px Android/PWA icons, maskable versions, a favicon.ico and a site.webmanifest.
- Text and emoji mode with colour, shape, zoom and offset controls — no design software needed.
- Live previews in the exact contexts the icons appear in, including light and dark browser chrome.
- Maskable safe-zone guide so Android icons are not clipped on round or squircle launchers.
- Auto-fix for non-square or low-resolution sources: a square 1024px copy is prepared automatically.
- One ZIP with consistent filenames plus a copyable head snippet.
Tips and common mistakes
- Start from a square image of at least 1024 pixels; small sources look soft at the 512px size even with Auto-fix.
- Keep the design simple — a favicon is often displayed at 16 pixels, so thin lines and text disappear.
- Set the app name and short name before generating so the PWA manifest does not say HelperCrate on your own site.
Frequently asked questions
Which files are included in the pack?
Favicons at 16, 32 and 48 pixels, an Apple touch icon at 180 pixels, Android/PWA icons at 192 and 512 pixels, matching maskable versions, a favicon.ico, a site.webmanifest and an HTML snippet that references them all.
What does maskable mean?
Android launchers can crop icons into circles and squircles. A maskable icon keeps its important content inside a safe central zone so cropping never cuts it off. Generate both maskable and normal versions and declare them in your manifest.
My new favicon is not showing up. Why?
Browsers cache favicons aggressively. After replacing the files, do a hard refresh, clear the site's cached data, or open the site in a private window. Some browsers also keep the old icon for a while in bookmarks.
Can I use an emoji as a favicon?
Yes — switch to the Text / emoji tab and paste an emoji. Keep in mind that emoji artwork differs between operating systems, so the tab preview is how most of your visitors will see it only on your own OS.
Will the icons have transparent backgrounds?
If you leave the background transparent in the shape controls, yes, and the PNG exports keep that transparency. The .ico file also supports transparency; maskable icons need a solid background to fill the crop area.

The pack is generated locally from your file or text. Uploaded images are never sent to a server, and the ZIP is assembled in your browser.
