Organize PDF Pages
Reorder and delete PDF pages using thumbnails, then save a new PDF.
Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.
What Organize PDF Pages does
Organize PDF Pages shows every page of a document as a thumbnail so you can drag them into a new order or delete pages you do not want. Saving produces a fresh file; the original stays exactly as it is.
It fixes small, annoying problems fast: a cover that ended up at the back, a blank page the scanner added, a chapter inserted two pages too early, or a pile of scans that came out back-to-front.
Thumbnails are rendered with pdf.js and the new document is written with pdf-lib, entirely in your browser. Long documents are shown page by page, so the strip is easy to scan, and the numbering updates instantly whenever a page moves or disappears.
How to use Organize PDF Pages
- Drop a PDF onto the dropzone and wait for the thumbnails to appear.
- Drag any thumbnail onto another to move that page into the target position.
- Click the ✕ button on a page to delete it.
- Repeat until the strip shows the order you want.
- Click Save organized PDF — the file downloads with an -organized suffix.
Features
- Thumbnail view of every page, rendered locally with pdf.js.
- Drag-and-drop reordering: drop a page onto a position and the strip renumbers immediately.
- Per-page delete button with instant visual feedback.
- Save writes a new PDF with the pages copied in your order, leaving the original untouched.
- Thumbnails render sequentially to keep memory use low on long documents.
- Fully local processing — the document is never uploaded.
Tips and common mistakes
- When deleting several pages, start with the ones furthest down: removing a page shifts the numbering of everything after it.
- Keep a copy of the original if the document matters — organizing always produces a new download.
- For long documents, delete the obvious pages first and fine-tune the order afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
Does saving change my original file?
No. The tool reads the file you selected and downloads a new one named with -organized. The source file on disk is never modified.
Can I undo a deletion?
Not within the tool. If you delete the wrong page, add the same file again and start from a clean strip; the workflow is quick enough that restarting beats wishing for an undo button.
How do I move a page several positions?
Drag it onto the destination thumbnail. The page inserts at that position and everything after it shifts down, with the labels updating straight away.
Can I insert a page from a different PDF?
Not here. Export the extra page as its own PDF, then combine the files in the right sequence with Merge PDF.
Why does a large file take a moment to load?
Every page must be rendered before its thumbnail can appear, and a few hundred pages take a little while. Rendering is sequential on purpose, to keep memory use flat.
Can I rotate pages in this tool?
No — it handles order and deletion only. Fix skewed or sideways pages with Rotate PDF before or after organizing; the rotation is preserved when pages are copied into the organized file.
