Images to PDF
Turn JPG and PNG images into a single multi-page PDF document.
Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.
What Images to PDF does
Images to PDF places JPG and PNG images into a single multi-page PDF, one image per page. It is the fastest way to turn a folder of photos or scans into a document that any office, portal or printer accepts.
Typical uses: assembling phone photos of receipts for a claim, building a simple portfolio or photo book, combining separate page scans into one file, or satisfying a form that only accepts PDF. The order of the images becomes the page order.
Each image is embedded directly into the PDF with pdf-lib. Pages can size themselves to the image or use A4 or US Letter with an optional margin, and every image is scaled to fit while keeping its proportions.
How to use Images to PDF
- Drop JPG or PNG files onto the dropzone; each file becomes one page, in the order shown.
- Choose a Page size: Fit to image keeps every page the size of its picture, while A4 portrait and US Letter give all pages the same dimensions.
- Pick a Margin — None, Small (24 pt) or Large (48 pt) — for the space around images on fixed-size pages.
- Click Create PDF.
- Download images.pdf; the result card reports how many pages it contains.
Features
- One page per image, using the order in which the files were added.
- Page modes: exact image size, A4 portrait (595 × 842 pt) or US Letter portrait (612 × 792 pt).
- Margins of none, 24 pt or 48 pt with images centred and scaled to fit without distortion.
- JPEGs are embedded as JPEG data and PNGs as PNG data, with no intermediate conversion.
- Handles as many images as the browser can hold in memory, with no fixed count.
- Local processing with pdf-lib — nothing is uploaded.
Tips and common mistakes
- Fit to image gives the crispest scans because the page and the image dimensions match exactly.
- Use a margin for anything that will be printed so no ink sits against the paper edge.
- Rename files with leading numbers before adding them; the ordering work then happens before the PDF exists.
- Use Merge PDF afterwards if the document needs to sit inside a larger compilation.
Frequently asked questions
Which image formats are accepted?
JPG and PNG. The picker shows images generally, but the PDF embeds JPEG and PNG data, so stick to those two. Convert WebP, HEIC or other formats first with the Image Converter or HEIC to JPG.
Are the images recompressed?
No — the original JPEG and PNG bytes are embedded as they are, keeping their quality. The finished PDF can still be larger than the sum of the images because each page and the container add overhead.
How do I control the page order?
Pages follow the order of the list as you add the files. Rename images with leading numbers (01-cover.jpg, 02-price.jpg) and select them in order. If the result is still out of order, fix it with Organize PDF Pages.
Can I make landscape pages?
A4 and US Letter are offered in portrait only. Fit to image adapts to wide pictures automatically by making a page the shape of the image.
Why does a phone photo appear sideways in the PDF?
The JPEG is embedded exactly as stored, and the EXIF orientation tag some phones write is not applied, so the picture can appear rotated. Fix the photo first with Rotate & Flip or the Image Converter before adding it.
Can several images share one page?
No — each image gets its own page. For a sheet of several images, compose it in an image editor first, then add the composed image.
