What Signature Generator does
Signature Generator draws your name in a handwritten style and exports it as a transparent PNG. 59 script styles ship with the site, ranging from flowing calligraphy to quick marker strokes, and each one renders your actual name rather than a template.
The output is designed to pair with Sign PDF: generate, pick a style you like, and hand the signature straight over to place on a document. The same PNG works anywhere else a signature image is needed.
Everything is drawn on a canvas in your browser. The script fonts are bundled with the site, generation works offline once the page has loaded, and no name you type is ever sent anywhere.
How to use Signature Generator
- Type your name into the Your name field.
- Optionally choose an ink colour: near black, blue, black or dark green.
- Adjust the style controls — Capital scale (1–2×), Lowercase scale (0.6–1.4×), Letter spacing (−8 to 4) and Slant (−20° to 20°).
- Click Generate signatures for a batch of ten styles, or Generate more for a different random batch.
- Click a preview to select it, then Download PNG for a transparent file or Use in Sign PDF to store it on this device and continue signing.

Tips and common mistakes
- Type the name exactly as you sign it — every letter, including middle initials, is rendered.
- Dark blue or near black reads best on documents; brighter inks suit design work rather than contracts.
- Keep one favourite signature saved in Sign PDF so signing the next document takes seconds.
Frequently asked questions
How many signature styles are there?
59 in this version, drawn from the script fonts bundled with the site. The generator shows ten at a time to keep the choice manageable; Generate more brings up a different random set.
Is the exported PNG transparent?
Yes. The canvas starts empty, the ink is drawn on top, and the image is cropped to the visible strokes with a small margin — so the background is transparent and the signature sits cleanly on any document.
Where is my signature saved?
On this device only: IndexedDB where available, with local storage as a fallback, capped at 10 entries. Use in Sign PDF stores it there and opens the signing tool with the signature ready. Clearing site data removes saved signatures.
Can I use the signature outside this site?
Yes — Download PNG gives you a standard transparent image that can be inserted into word processors, PDF editors and design tools.
Why do different styles vary so much in width?
Each script has its own letter widths and stroke shapes, so wide styles produce wider signatures. Tune the capital, lowercase and spacing sliders, or choose a narrower style if the signature must fit a small box.
Is a generated signature legally valid?
A rendered image of a signature is a visual mark, not a cryptographic one. Whether it is acceptable depends on the situation and the other party, and some documents require a qualified electronic signature instead. Seek legal advice if you are unsure.
